Foggy morning

For my final piece, I used my favorite media: watercolors. the reason I love water colors is because you can use them is crazy ways the the outcome is always a surprise!

Anakin Skywalker

For my change series, I decided to follow Anakin's life from an innocent scared child to becoming corrupted and full of suffering and regret. If you've watched the movies, you'd understand the reasons for choosing each background color.

In a galaxy far, far away....

These were probably my favorite to create. I has so much fun creating these with acrylic pouring medium and different colored dyes. Each different color scheme created a perfect background for a star wars themed series.

Coco

This my realistic piece which was a great challenge. It was fun exploring the different colors in this photograph and even though the background is really bright, the emphasis is still on her.

Seven Seas

Using scratchboard paper was a challenge since instead of adding the dark values, you have to scratch off to create the light values. I decided on drawing a ship because I've always wanted to sail and explore other places.

Drake is one of my favorite artist which is why I decided to draw him. It was a challenge to recreate him with just simple lines. I used organic and weighted lines to create the image.

Wise

At first , this sketch was just supposed to be a Portrait of a woman but Instead I sketched half of an owl and decided to eliminate her lips. After completing the sketch, I went in with pen and used organic, cross-hatching and contour lines to define this drawing.  This is my favorite piece because of my color choice. I decided to add colors that weren't associated with owls , like purple, greens, and blue. I carried out a wash with drip lines at the top and bottom to give it a vintage look.

To Fly

With just a few rough lines to define the shape of a woman floating , I went in with a pen to create the look of a flowing dress. I used cross-hatching to outline her shape and then I used heaving contour lines to create the silhouettes of the birds. In the end, I decided to add color so I used water color and mixed yellow and orange. I watered them to create a cloudy look .

Free

To start this piece, I just created a sketch with rough lines and went over it with water color and India ink.  I layered different shades of warm colors such as yellow, orange , and red. After i was satisfied with the depth that the colors created, I went in with a pen to define the lines of the details on her face and define the texture on the raven.

Lost in the woods

This first drawing is composed of water color and ink. I started off with s simple sketch of a boy's silhouette and added green, blue, and yellow water color. I added a few layers to create depth and then made the water color fade off. I then went in and sketched trees with a pencil then I went over with pen and created hatch marks to give it a natural woods look. Then I added a few birds silhouette to create a busy enviorment.
